Mission Intelligence Group is looking to hire a Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Standards Developer-Imagery (Senior Level).

This is a fantastic opportunity to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical resource for the development, profiling and application of GEOINT imagery and imagery exploitation standards. Organize, lead and monitor technical tasks and provide input to issue resolutions. Engage with multiple team members, organizations and disciplines to explore complex concepts and processes and develop and coordinate candidate solutions.

General Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing specialized advice and assistance on complex technical projects. Is widely known in his/her field of expertise. Independently performs a variety of system analysis, design and/or engineering tasks that are broad and innovative in nature. Participates in national level steering and advisory groups, panels and committees. Advises/mentors technical personnel at all levels and reviews work for technical accuracy. Guides the strategic growth of scientific imagery programs.
  • Serve as a Subject Mater Expert (SME) on development of Still and/or Motion Imagery Standards with the objective of facilitating compliance and interoperability through integration of NSG & ASG requirements while reducing technical and schedule risk in the following functional areas:
  • Still Imagery standards including, but not exclusive to:
      • NITF
      • NITF Extensions (MIE4NITF, SIDD, SICD, etc.)
      • NATO Imagery STANAGs (NSIF, for instance)
    • Motion Imagery standards & phenomenologies including, but not exclusive to:
      • Electro Optical (EO)
      • Large Volume Motion Imagery (LVMI)/Wide Area Motion Imagery (WAMI)
      • Infrared Motion Imagery Standards (IR)
      • Multispectral Imaging (MSI)
      • Hyper spectral imaging (HSI)
    • Community Sensor Models
  • Ensure current and future GEOINT standards will satisfy capability requirements at the program and strategic level across NGA, the NSG, and ASG.
  • Develop capability-based standards profiles & reference architectures to enable search, discovery, access, and retrieval, integrated intelligence, and advanced analytics are enabled.

Required Qualifications:

  • Able to develop & use more complex concepts & processes
  • Performs multiple tasks at specialist level
  • Leads multiple Junior/Mid-level personnel
  • May be recognized as a SME
  • Evaluates & recommends new technology & processes based upon cost, risk, mission

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Master's degree plus 4, Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of experience, Associates degree plus 8 years of experience, or a minimum of 8 years of experience, in relevant field

Security Requirements: Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a TS/SCI security clearance. Active TS/SCI security clearance preferred.
